We will provide a rich environment of knowledge where the multi-sensory Phonics program will be introduced in stages, accomplish with hands-on activities and fun games, supported by worksheets if necessary. By the end of KG3 the phonic sounds, the technique of blending, formulating sentences, and writing simple sentences will be developed so students could develop strong communication skills and shall be able to identify high-frequency words (sight words) and read simple sentences.

Students learn to investigate and develop their ideas using their imagination, experiences, and feelings. Also, students will follow a series of projects which encourage them to record first-hand observations of objects, they will learn to review their own work and comment on the work of others. They will be introduced to the work of artists and taught to draw on the different types of canvas for different cultures and timescales.
Education through physical activity is essential to the overall growth and development of children and is considered an integral part of the school curriculum. The PE department aims to promote participation of sport in a civil and safe environment. By encouraging children to participate in sport on a regular basis, it is hoped not only to improve fitness levels but to also improve concentration and self- esteem, which can help attendance and attainment in all subjects. The curriculum is organized into indoor activity (Sports’ Hall/Auditorium) and outdoor activity (playground / Swimming Pool).

Stars International School plans to follow the Common Core State Standards in Language Arts and Mathematics and the New Generation Science Standards. The school will provide the core courses (English, Math and Science) and elective courses in addition to the Community Service Program for all High School students.
The English curriculum will focus on the principles of writing, speaking, listening, reading and viewing. Each area will be assessed in various ways, skills will be revisited and refined over the four-year course program. Students must take an English class every semester. All freshmen must take English 9 while sophomores must take English 10. Upperclassmen have the option to take any of the following courses during the junior and senior years: AP English Language and Composition and AP English Literature (both year-long), or a combination of the semester-length Junior/Senior menu courses. All of the following courses can be used to fulfill the four credit English graduation requirement.
The mathematics curriculum is designed to meet the needs of students who have varying backgrounds, knowledge, skills, diverse of interests and career goals. The goals of the mathematics program are to:
Scientifically literate individuals possess both a knowledge of facts and an understanding of concepts from a wide range of scientific disciplines. They should also have the opportunity to develop, through experimentation, the process skills that encourage and enable continuous learning and critical thinking. The goal is to develop scientifically literate individuals who understand and appreciate the interrelationships of science, technology, and society. All courses incorporate technology-based laboratories (including graphical analysis software) and interactive resources. All school ninth-graders must enroll in a biology course. Tenth graders must enroll in a physical science course - usually Chemistry. all high school students to graduate complete three years of science with most earning four or more science credits.
The Social Studies Department's offerings provide students with a broad exposure to history and the social sciences. Group activities, lectures, discussions, research, writing and critical analysis are incorporated into the program. Courses will employ technology to conduct research, maintain online discussion boards, create original media, and support classroom instruction. The department encourages students to develop the ability to express their ideas and to test them against those of others. Fundamental to the work of the department is the study of the past and a desire to learn from the past, for the benefit of the present and the future.
Students must successfully complete three-semesters in Physical Education. All students in physical education classes are required to participate actively in physical fitness, conditioning, and activities on regular basis. Students will be assessed regularly on the rules and skills of the sports being taught as well as on their level of fitness.
All Arabic students are required to take four years (2.0) credits of Arabic or Arabic as a Foreign Language. All Muslim students from Grade 9 to Grade 12 take Religion two days per week. In this survey course, students are exposed to a variety of media through the study of the elements and principles of art and design. Students acquire and apply skills using a variety of media and techniques. Pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, various paints, clay, sculptural materials and linoleum for printmaking are examples of media offered to students. Emphasis is placed on skills acquisition and creativity. This course enables students to identify their strengths and possible areas of interest for future development which provides the necessary foundation for the more advanced Studio Art courses.
